There is something so promising about the first entry in a new blog, isn’t there? You think, this time, yes this time, I’ll do it right. I won’t tell the story that should really go untold. I won’t respond to the negative comment in the same way I did before. I will always be clever and witty, never boring or preachy. My readers will wake up each morning with the burning question, “Will there be a new post from that perfectly entertaining blogger today?”
And then you finish your first entry in the new blog and you realize…same me, different URL.
Although I can’t promise to always be clever and witty, I do promise to have the virtual comfy chair and a batch of freshly baked virtual chocolate-chip cookies here to greet you. You may just have to get up and pour your own glass of milk once in a while. And help fold the laundry.

Just so you know, I can’t help fold the laundry. I’ve learned everyone likes things done their own way and I have a hard time adjusting out of my patterns.
Anyway, congrats on the new blog, though I’ll miss you over in LJ-land.
